Our lab is part of Cognitive Neurology and Neuropsychology Division in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University. The overarching goal of our research is to understand the relation between brain organization and cognitive development. We examine how large-scale brain networks support learning, memory and language. We are particularly interested in the neural developmental processes underlying these cognitive functions from children to adults, and how experience and disease can alter brain organization. Our research methodology includes behavioral, brain imaging (fMRI, resting-state fMRI, DTI) and computational approaches.

The Chai lab will be moving to the Montreal Neurological Institute at McGill University in summer, 2019.
